How to Add or Change YouTube Channel Description

In my previous post, I’ve talked about the steps to change the YouTube profile picture.

In this post, we’ll see how to add or change YouTube channel description. Let’s see how to do this task on YouTube web version (In this instance, I’m using Windows 10 PC) and app (In this instance, I’m using Android).

Add Your YouTube Channel Description on Computer

Sign in to your YouTube account.

Hit profile picture > My channel > Customize Channel.

Now, navigate to the “About” tab.

Hit the “Channel description” button.

Enter the channel description as per your wish and then hit “Done.”

Add Your YouTube Channel Description on Android

Open YouTube app.

Hit the profile picture > My channel (which you can find above “Time watched”) > Gear icon.

Hit the “Pencil” icon beside “Add a description.”

In the popup, enter the channel description and then hit “Ok.”

Change Your YouTube Channel Description on PC

Sign in to your YouTube account.

Hit profile picture > My channel > Customize Channel.

Now, navigate to the “About” tab.

Hover your mouse over the current description, and you can see a “Pencil” icon. Hit it.

Enter the channel description as per your preference and then hit “Done.”

Change Your YouTube Channel Description on Android

Open YouTube app.

Hit the profile picture > My channel > Gear icon.

Now, tap the “Pencil” icon beside the current description.

In the popup, enter the channel description as per your wish and then hit “Ok.”
