How to Set Who Can Send You Friend Requests on Facebook (2021)

You can set who can send you friend requests by following these steps:

Note: I’m using a PC, Android, and iPhone here.

PC

Sign in to Facebook.

Hit the inverted triangle icon in the top right corner.

Click Settings and privacy > Settings.

On the left sidebar, click Privacy.

Find the “How people can find and contact you” section.

In it, you can see Edit beside Who can send you friend requests?

Click on it. Open the drop-down list and you will see these options: Everyone and Friends of friends.

Select the one you prefer.

That’s all.

Android or iPhone

Open the Facebook app.

Hit the three horizontal lines at the bottom if you’re on iPhone or top if you’re on Android.

Tap Settings & Privacy > Settings > Privacy Settings.

You can find out “Who can send you friend requests?” in the section How People Find and Contact You. Hit it.

These two options are now available to you:

  • Everyone
  • Friends of friends

Both are self-explanatory, right?

Pick the one you prefer.
