How to Change WhatsApp Font Size (Android)

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Hit three vertical dots.
  3. On the menu, tap Settings, which you can find beneath Starred messages.
  4. Tap Chats, which you can find between Account and Notifications.
  5. Tap Font size.
  6. In the pop-up, you can see these options – Small, Medium, and Large. Choose the one you prefer.

Now, you can view the font size change in the chat screen of contacts and groups.

How to Change WhatsApp Language (Android)

  1. Launch WhatsApp for Android.
  2. Hit three vertical dots at the top > Settings > Chats.
  3. Hit on App Language.
  4. In the pop-up, choose the language you prefer.

Note:

Not all countries have this option. So, if you don’t view it, then you need to change the language of your Android device to change the language of WhatsApp.

How to Change WhatsApp Chat Wallpaper (Android)

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Tap three vertical dots > Settings > Chats > Wallpaper.
  3. In the pop-up, you can view these options:

  • Gallery – You can see Gallery. Find and tap the image you want. Now, you can see the preview, and if you are Ok with it, hit Set.
  • Solid Colour – You can look at many colors. Hit the color you wish to set as wallpaper. Now, you can view the preview, and if you like it, tap Set.
  • Wallpaper Library – You can view a pop-up that prompts you to download the WhatsApp Wallpaper package. Tap Ok, and it’ll take you to WhatsApp Wallpaper on Google Play Store. Install it. Now, hit the Wallpaper Library option again, and you can view many wallpapers. Find and tap the one you prefer. You can look at the preview now, and if you are Ok with it, tap Set.
  • Default – To revert to default.
  • No Wallpaper – Self-explanatory, right?

By default, the gallery shows the downloaded WhatsApp images and videos. If you wish you can hide them from the gallery and here’s how:

Single Contact or Group

The below steps are for hiding WhatsApp pictures and videos of a particular group or contact chat from the gallery.

  1. Open WhatsApp chat you prefer.
  2. Tap the name at the top.
  3. Hit Media visibility.
  4. In the pop-up, you can see three options – Default (Yes), Yes, and No.

  1. Choose No.
  2. Tap on Ok.

From now on, the gallery will not show newly downloaded images and videos of this chat.

But keep in mind that the gallery will show the already downloaded ones from this chat.

All Contacts and Groups

The following steps are for hiding WhatsApp images and videos of all contacts and groups from the gallery.

  1. Launch WhatsApp.
  2. Hit three vertical dots at the top > Settings.
  3. Hit on Chats > Media visibility.

From now on, the gallery will not show newly downloaded images and videos of WhatsApp.

But remember that the gallery will show the already downloaded ones.

Enter is Send (Android)

By default, tapping the Enter key on the keyboard creates a new line. 

But if you wish to send the message by tapping Enter key, follow the below steps:

  1. Launch WhatsApp.
  2. Hit three vertical dots > Settings > Chats.
  3. In the Chat settings section, tap Enter is send.

Note: remember that the above steps can revert too.

How to Enable WhatsApp Dark Mode (Android)

If you’ve an Android phone with Android 10 and have dark mode enabled in it, then your WhatsApp also is in dark mode.

If you’re an Android 9 (Pie) user, then follow the below steps to enable dark mode:

  1. Launch WhatsApp.
  2. Hit three vertical dots > Settings > Chats > Theme.
  3. Now, you can see two options in the pop-up – Light and Dark.
  4. Choose Dark.
  5. Tap on Ok.

Note: To disable dark mode, follow the above steps, and instead of choosing Dark, select Light.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Hit Display & Brightness, which you can find between Control Centre and Accessibility.
  3. Tap Text Size, which you can find above Bold Text.
  4. Move the slider to the right (increase the font size) or left (decrease the font size).

How to Change WhatsApp Language (iPhone)

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Hit General, which you can find above the Control Centre.
  3. Tap Language & Region.
  4. Hit iPhone Language at the top.
  5. Choose the language you prefer.
  6. Tap Change to (the language you choose) in the pop-up.

How to Change WhatsApp Chat Wallpaper (iPhone)

  1. Launch WhatsApp for iPhone.
  2. Hit on Settings if you’re not in it already.
  3. Tap Chats > Chat Wallpaper at the top.
  4. Now, you can view these options:

  • Wallpaper Library – You can see many wallpapers. Hit the one you prefer, and you can look at the preview. Like the preview? Tap Set.
  • Solid Colors – You can see many colors. Tap the one you prefer, and you can view the preview. Like the preview? Hit Set.
  • Photos – You need to provide access to the Photos app. Once you did that and return to the WhatsApp app, you can see the contents of the Photos app. Pick the one you prefer. Now, you can view preview, and if you like that, pick Set.
  • Reset Wallpaper – No need for explanation, right? Tap this option and then hit the Reset Wallpaper option.

How to Stop WhatsApp Saving Photos and Videos to iPhone’s Camera Roll

By default, WhatsApp for iPhone automatically saves the photos and videos you receive to your iPhone’s Camera Roll.

You can stop this if you’re not a fan, and here’s how:

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Hit on Settings at the bottom.
  3. Tap Chats which you can find between Account and Notifications.

From now on, WhatsApp will not automatically save the images and videos you receive to your iPhone’s Camera Roll.

And you need to save the one you prefer manually. Let’s see how. Tap the photo you prefer to save. Hit the Share icon at the bottom. Tap Save option in the pop-up.
