How to Add Website Shortcut to Android or iPhone Home Screen

You can add a website shortcut to your Android (I’m using Android Pie) or iPhone home screen and here’s how:

Chrome for Android

Open the website you wish on the Chrome app.

Hit three vertical dots at the top.

Between Find in page and Desktop site, you can see the Add to Home screen option. Hit it.

In the pop-up, edit the shortcut name if you wish and then tap Add.

Now, if you want to place the shortcut to the home screen manually, use the icon you see right now to do so. Otherwise, tap the Add Automatically option. I chose the latter.
