Additional Hint

If you have signed into Chrome app with the Google account which you have used to sign into Chrome on other devices, then you can see the bookmarks of those other devices on your Chrome app "Bookmarks" option.

If you want to launch bookmarks from your home screen, then you can give the following method a try.

Go to the Widgets (hold the blank area on the home screen to see this option). Find "Chrome bookmarks" widget. Drag and drop it to the home screen.

Now, you can see the bookmarks of the "Mobile bookmarks" folder on the home screen;

You can change the "Mobile bookmarks" folder with the folder you want within the widget.

Tap the bookmark you want to open, and it will get opened in Chrome for Android.

Firefox

  • angle-right
Open the website in Firefox app for Android.
  • angle-right
    Long press the Address Bar.
  • angle-right
    Tap "Add Page Shortcut."

Alternate Way

  • angle-double-right
    Open Firefox app.
  • angle-double-right
Tap Overflow Menu (three vertical dots) at the top.
  • angle-double-right
Select Page > Add Page Shortcut.

Note:

The one disadvantage in the above ways is that you cannot edit the name of the shortcut while creating it.

To overcome that disadvantage, follow the below steps (this is especially useful if you use default launcher which doesn't support renaming shortcut):

Just add the website as a bookmark. Tap Overflow Menu > Bookmarks. Find the bookmark, long press it, choose "Edit," rename the shortcut as per your wish and then tap "Save." Now, long press that bookmark and then select "Add Page Shortcut" to add that website as a shortcut.

Long press to existing bookmark shows the Add Page Shortcut option

Here are some other things to note:

You can add existing bookmark as a shortcut with the above step.

If you have already set up Firefox Sync, then you can see bookmarks from other devices that are using Firefox within "Bookmarks" option of Firefox app.

I hope this guide is useful to you. If you find the information in this post as useful, share this one with your friends.
