How to Allow App Installation from Unknown Sources on Android

In Android 10, to install an app from a source other than the “Google Play Store,” you need to provide permission for the app from which you’ll install the app.

For instance, if you’ll install an app from the “Files” app, then you need to provide permission for the “Files” app.

In case, if you’ll install an app from “Chrome,” then you need to provide permission for the “Chrome” app. I hope you’ve got the point.

Well, let’s see how to do this task.

Open the “Settings” app.

Tap “Apps & notifications.”

Hit “Advanced.”

Tap “Special app access.”

Hit “Install unknown apps.”

From the list of apps, tap the one from which you’ll install the app. I chose the “Files” app.

Enable “Allow from this source.”

That’s it. From now on, you can install the app from the app you’ve chosen.

If you want to revoke the permission you’ve given to the app, follow the steps above. But disable it instead of enabling it.
