How to Turn Off Twitter and Facebook Auto Play (2020)

How to Turn Off Twitter Auto Play

PC

Sign into Twitter. Hit “More” in the left sidebar > Settings and privacy > Data usage. Hit “Autoplay.” Choose “Never.”

Android or iPhone

Launch the Twitter app. Hit three vertical lines at the top left. Tap Settings and privacy > Data usage. Tap “Video autoplay.” Choose “Never.”


How to Turn Off Facebook Auto Play

PC

Sign into Facebook. Hit “Inverted triangle” icon at the top right > Settings & privacy > Settings.

Hit on “Videos” from the left sidebar. Beside “Auto-play Videos,” you can see a drop-down list. Open it and then select “Off.”

Android

Open the Facebook app. Tap three vertical lines > Settings & Privacy > Settings > Media and Contacts. Hit “Autoplay.” Choose “Never Autoplay Videos.”
