Method #1

To Turn on Wi-Fi: Slide down from the top, and you will see a “Wi-Fi” icon beneath the “Date.” Tap on it.

If your device has a saved Wi-Fi network, then your device will automatically get connected to it. Otherwise, only Wi-Fi is turned on.

To see the networks – Long-press the “Wi-Fi” icon.

To connect to a Wi-Fi network – Tap it, enter its password, and then hit “Connect.”

To turn off Wi-Fi – Hit the “Wi-Fi” icon.

Method #2

To Turn on Wi-Fi: Open Settings on your Android device. Hit “Network & internet.” Tap the toggle switch beside “Wi-Fi” to switch on Wi-Fi.

If your device has a saved network, then your device will automatically get connected to it. Otherwise, only the Wi-Fi will be turned on.

To see networks – Tap “Wi-Fi” after you turn on Wi-Fi.

To connect: Tap the network, enter its password, and then hit “Connect.”

To switch off Wi-Fi, tap the toggle switch beside “Wi-Fi.”

Automatic Way

Here, we’ll see how to turn on and off Wi-Fi at a specific time on Android.

Install and open the AutomateIt app. Hit My Rules > “+” icon. Choose “Time Trigger.” Set the repeat and time. Tap “Next.”

Choose “Set Wifi State Action.” Select “Wi-Fi Enabled.” Hit “Next.” Give the rule name as per your desire. Tap the “Save” icon at the top right.

Hit the “+” icon. Choose “Time Trigger.” Set the repeat and time. Tap “Next.” Choose “Set Wifi State Action.” Select “Wi-Fi Disabled.” Hit “Next.”

Provide the rule name as per your liking. Tap the “Save” icon at the top right. That’s it.

From now on, the first rule turns on Wi-Fi at the time and date you’ve chosen, and the second one turns off Wi-Fi at the time and date you’ve selected.

How to Turn On or Off Wi-Fi on iPhone

Method #1

Here’s how you can turn on or off Wi-Fi:

Swipe down from the top-right of the screen and you will see the “Control Center.”

Tap the “Wi-Fi” icon, which you can find beneath the “Airplane” icon.

Remember that “Blue” means Wi-Fi turned on.

Note:

Remember that this turns off Wi-Fi temporarily. Wi-Fi will be turned on automatically in any of the following scenarios:

  • Your local time is 5 am.
  • You traveled to a new location via walk or drive.
  • You restarted your iPhone.
