You will see the status bar in File Explorer by default. If you want to hide it, follow these steps:

Launch the File Explorer Options. To complete this task: Press Windows + R and type control folders. Then, press Enter key.

Click on the View tab.

Unselect the “Show status bar” option between “Show preview handlers in preview pane” and “Show sync provider notifications.”

Click on the “OK” button at the bottom.

How to Hide or Show Status Bar in File Explorer using Registry Editor

Here are the steps:

Launch the Registry Editor.

Before proceeding, I recommend taking a backup of the Registry.

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > Advanced.

Locate ShowStatusBar in the right pane and double-click it.

Provide 0 (to hide) or 1 (to show) in the Value data field.

Hit the OK button.
