How to Star Text Messages on Android

In Android, you can star text messages, finding them easy and quick.

I’m using the Messages app in Google Pixel 4a (Android 12).

Here are the steps to star a text message on an Android phone:

  1. Open Messages app.
  2. Tap the conversation that contains the text message you want to star.
  3. Long press the message you desire, and you can see the Star icon at the top. Tap it.

That’s all. You’ve successfully starred a text message.

And, remember that when you star a message, it’ll show the Star symbol at its bottom right.

Note: You can’t star multiple messages at once.

To view the messages you’ve starred, follow these steps:

Tap the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the Messages app.

Select “Starred,” which you can find between “Choose theme” and “Archived.” You can see all your starred messages.

Here are the steps to unstar a starred message:

Go to the Starred section. You can see the steps to go to this section above.

Tap the one you prefer to unstar. Long press the message and hit the Star icon at the top.

That’s it.

Note: You can’t unstar multiple messages at once.
