In this post you will see the steps to star on Google Docs and Google Drive.
In this case I use Windows 10 PC, Android and iPhone. Let’s get started.
How to star a file on Google Docs
PC
Sign in to Google Docs.
To Star: Open the document you want to star. Click on the “Star” icon at the top.
To Unstar: Open the document you want to unstar. Click on the “Star” icon at the top.

Android or iPhone
Open the Google Docs app.
Tap the three horizontal or vertical points below the file you want to star.
You will find the “Add to starred” option. Hit it.
To View Starred Files
Tap the three horizontal lines > Starred.
To unstar
Go to “Starred.”
Tap the three horizontal or vertical points below the file you want to unstar.
Tap “Remove from starred.”
Note: Remember that the star and unstar you made to a Google Docs file on Google Drive are reflected in Google Docs and vice versa.

How to star item(s) on Google Drive
PC
Go to Google Drive. Sign in, if not already.
Select the item(s) you want to star.
Right-click on it, and you will find the “Add to Starred” option. Hit it.
To View Starred Items: Click the “Starred” option in the left sidebar.
To Unstar Starred Items: Click the “Starred” option in the left sidebar.
Select the item(s) you want to unstar.
Right-click on it, and you will find the “Remove from Starred” option. Click on it.

Android or iPhone
Open the Google Drive app.
Tap Files at the bottom.
Select the item(s) that you want to star.
Hit the three vertical or horizontal points at the top.
Tap the “Add to Starred” option.
To view starred items: Tap “Starred” at the bottom.

How to unstar starred items
Tap “Starred.”
Select the item(s) that you want to unstar.
Tap the three vertical or horizontal dots at the top.
Click on the “Remove from Starred” option.
Note: Remember that the star and unstar you made to a Google Docs file on Google Drive are reflected in Google Docs and vice versa.
