You can power off your Android device on three different ways.

In this post, we will see all those ways in detail. Let’s get started.

That’s it. Your device will begin to shutdown.

This is the typical method most people are using to shutdown their device.

Method #2

Third-Party App (For Rooted Android Device Only)

If you have a rooted Android device, then you can power off your device without power button.

Steps

Install and open “Quick Reboot Pro” app.

After you confirm the terms, you can see the main screen.

Tap “Power off” option.

Tap “Yes” on the confirmation popup. Provide root permission if prompted.

That’s it. All done.

If you are already a “Mobileuncle Tools” app user, then you don’t need a separate app for shutdown task and you can use the Mobileuncle app to do this task.

Open the app.

Scroll down it to the bottom.

Tap “Shutdown” option.

Tap “OK” on the confirmation popup.

Method #3

Force Shutdown

I highly suggest you to use this method only when your device got frozen. The following steps are for the devices with the removable battery.

Remove the back cover of your device.

Now remove the battery out of your device.

After 1-2 seconds, you can put the battery and cover back to the device.

Your device is in turned off state now and you can turn it on whenever you want.

If have a non-removable battery device, then you need to use a combination of hardware buttons to force shutdown your device.

But, the key combination differs among Android devices.

So, I suggest you to try the following two key combinations:

Press volume up and down button along with the power button for 10-15 seconds.

Press volume up button and power button for 10-15 seconds.

Hopefully, any of the above combinations may work on your device.

If not, please refer to the user manual of your device or just do a Google search like this: (force shutdown device model).
