How to set per-app sound outputs in Windows 10

You can set volume, sound input and output devices for individual apps in Windows 10 and here’s how:

Open the sound settings (the steps are in the first section).

In the “Advanced sound options” section below, see “App volume and device preferences.” Hit it.

You can find the list of apps now. If you don’t see your desired app name, it’s because you didn’t start the app. Launch it and you can see it.

Now adjust the volume level with the volume slider next to the app name to your liking.

Remember that this volume level is a percentage of the master volume level.

Open the “Output” and “Input” drop-down list next to the app name and then select the sound output and input devices you want.

That’s all.

Remember that Windows 10 will remember the settings you have set for individual apps and each time you launch the app, the app will have these settings.
