In this post, we’ll see how to enable screen lock on WhatsApp for iPhone. In this instance, I’m using iPhone X. Let’s get started.
- Open WhatsApp. Tap “Settings” if you’re not in it already.
- Hit “Privacy.”
- Tap “Screen Lock,” which you can find beneath “Read Receipts.”
- Hit the toggle switch beside “Require Face ID.” Keep in mind that the “Green” means enabled.
That’s it. From now on, you need to provide Face ID to open WhatsApp. Remember that you can answer WhatsApp calls and reply to messages from notifications even if the WhatsApp is locked.
For the first time you unlock WhatsApp, you can see a popup in which you’ll be asked to allow Face ID access for WhatsApp. Tap “Ok” in that popup.
Also, note that you can change when you want the WhatsApp to be locked after it is closed by tapping any one of the options (Immediately, After 1 minute, After 15 minutes, and After 1 hour) below “Require Face ID.”
If you want to disable screen lock, tap the toggle beside “Require Face ID.”
