Some Android devices such as LG G6 come with the rounded display corners.
If your device doesn't have this feature, then this guide is for you.
In this post, we will see the steps to get rounded corners on any Android device. Let's get started.
Add Rounded Display Corners to Android
- Install and open "Cornerfly" app.
- Enable the System overlay and Accessibility service permission.
- Now you can see the rounded corner display on your device.
This app has a lot of settings to play with. Let me explain each section in detail.
From the "Corners" section, you can enable and disable the rounded corners for all sides. By default, all sides are enabled.
The color option is used to configure the color of the corners.
Size (needs upgrade)
As the name indicates, use the slider to adjust the corner size as per your need.
Notification - this option is used to configure the corners of the current foreground app from the notification bar.
You can use this option to enable or disable the rounded corners for the individual apps or for all. By default, all the apps are enabled.
Here you can see two options under each app:
Overlay Statusbar - if you've enabled this option, then you can see the rounded display corners at the top of the status bar.
If you've not enabled this option, then you can see the rounded display corners at the top of the app.
Overlay Navigationbar - if this option is disabled, you can see the rounded corners at the bottom of the app.
But, if you want to have the rounded corners at the bottom of the navigation bar, then you can enable this feature.
Click on the icon beside the Applications and you can see the popup. You can use this popup to apply the settings for all the applications.
Here is an important thing to note:
- This app won't work properly all the time (Hint: A restart fixed the bug).
- Install and open the Roundr app.
- After you open the app, you can see the rounded display corners on your device.
- By default, the corner radius is 10. I prefer to set radius as 20. You can adjust it as per your wish.
Enabled Corners - use this option to enable (or disable) the side where you want the rounded corners.
Overlap status bar - used to round the corners of the status bar.
If you want corner designs and the ability to blacklist apps, then you need to buy the "Roundr extension".
Here is one important thing to note:
- This app don't have the overlap navigation bar feature.
I suggest you to pick the one as per your need. Try it out and let us know your experiences in the comment section below.
