How to Restart or Shut Down an iPhone

Restart iPhone

To restart, you need to power off your iPhone and then power it on. Let’s see how to do this.

  1. Press and hold “Side” (which is on the right side) and “Volume Down” (which is on the left side bottom) buttons together.

  1. Slide the “Power” icon at the top from left to right.

That’s it. Your iPhone will get shut down. After that, you need to turn it on, and here’s how:

Force Restart iPhone

If your iPhone isn’t responding, then you can try this.

Press the “Volume Up” button (which is on the left side). Press the “Volume Down” button (which is on the bottom left side).

Press and hold the “Side” button (which is on the right side). When you see the “Apple” icon, release the hold.

Shut Down the iPhone

Open Settings. Tap “General.” Scroll down to the bottom and you will see the “Shut Down” option. Hit it.

Now, you can see the “slide to power off.” Slide the “Power” icon at the top from left to right.
