In this post, we’ll see two different ways to restart File Explorer in Windows 10. Let’s see what they are.
Right-click on the “Start” button and you can see the “Power User” menu. Within that, you can see “Task Manager.” Click on it.
Now, you should be in the “Processes” tab of the Task Manager.
Note: In case, you do not see any tabs, then click on “More details” in Task Manager. Now, you can see the “Processes” tab of Task Manager.
Find and right-click “Windows Explorer.”
Click on “Restart” option.
That’s it. The File Explorer gets restarted now.
Press “Ctrl” and “Shift” keys and right-click on Taskbar.
Now, you can see the “Exit Explorer” option.
Click on it. It’ll exit Explorer, and you can see an empty Desktop.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Escape keys and you can see “Task Manager.”
In the Task Manager, click File > Run new task.
In the “Create new task” box, type “explorer” (without double quotes) and then press “Enter” key.
That’s all. You can see your Desktop now.
