How to Restart File Explorer in Windows 10

You can restart File Explorer in Windows 10 at any time you want.

It is a simple task. In this post, we will see two different ways to do this task. Let's see what they are.

    Right-click on "Start" button and you can see "Power User Menu." Within that, you can see "Task Manager." Click on it.

    Now, you should be in the "Processes" tab of the Task Manager.

Note: In case, you do not see any tabs, then click on "More details" in Task Manager. Now, you can see "Processes" tab of Task Manager.

    Find and right-click "Windows Explorer."

    Click on "Restart" option.

That is all. The File Explorer gets restarted now.

    Press Ctrl and Shift keys and right-click on Taskbar.

    Now, you can see "Exit Explorer" option.

    Click on it. It will exit Explorer, and you can see an empty Desktop.

    Press Ctrl + Shift + Escape keys and you can see Task Manager.

    In the Task Manager, click File > Run new task.

    In the "Create new task" box, type "explorer" (without double quotes) and then press "Enter" key.
