The usual way to restart the browser is closing the browser and then opening it again. This way, make the browser lose its tabs.
But, you can restart Chrome or Firefox without it losing any of its tabs and here’s how:
In the Chrome web browser, type the command – chrome://restart and then hit “Enter” key to restart.
In the Firefox web browser, type the command – about:restartrequired and then hit the “Enter” key. Hit the “Restart Firefox” button to restart.
If you want to do this quickly, then create a bookmark with this command and make it available in the Bookmarks Toolbar.
