How to Reopen a Closed Tab in Chrome and Firefox

In this post, we’ll see how to reopen a closed tab in Chrome and Firefox (web version (in this instance, I’m using Windows 10) and app (in this instance, I’m using Android)). Let’s get started.

Reopen a Closed Tab in Chrome

Method #1

Press Ctrl + Shift + T keys OR right-click on any tab and then hit the “Reopen closed tab” option.

It’ll reopen the recently closed tab. Use the key combination or option repeatedly to open other closed tabs.

If you’re wondering what the closed tabs that are gonna open are, you can find them here: Hit Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top > hover your mouse over History > under “Recently closed” section.

Method #2

Press Ctrl + H, and you can see your browsing history.

From here, find and click the closed tab that you want to reopen.

Reopen a Closed tab in Firefox

Method #1

Press Ctrl + Shift + T keys OR right-click on any tab and hit the “Undo Close Tab” option.

It’ll reopen the recently closed tab. Use any one of the above again and again to get back other closed tabs.

If you want to know what are the closed tabs that are going to open, then follow the below steps:

Hit “Hamburger” icon (three vertical lines) at the top of the Firefox.

Click on Library > History > Recently Closed Tabs.

Method #2

Press Ctrl + Shift + H, and you’ll see your browsing history.

Find and double-click the closed tab you want to reopen.

Reopen a Closed Tab in Chrome for Android

Open Chrome app.

Tap on Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top > Recent tabs.

Now, you can see a few recently closed tabs under “Recently closed.”

If you see the one you prefer, hit it to open. Otherwise, hit “Show full history” which will take you to the “History.” There, you can find the one that you’ve preferred and tap it to open.

Open Firefox app.

Tap Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top > History > Recently closed.

Now, you can see a few recently closed tabs.

If you see the one you prefer, hit it to open. Otherwise, hit “Back to full History,” and you can see the “History.” There, you can find the one that you’ve preferred and tap it to open.
