Steps

  1. ​Go to Google Docs. Sign in if not already.

  2. Open the document you want.

  3. Click “File” at the top and then click the “Page setup” option.

  4. Now, you can see “Page setup” popup where you can see a drop-down beneath “Page color.” Open it and then select the color you wish.

  5. ​If you wish to set the page color as the default​, click on “Set as default” button. Keep in mind that not only page color, but every other setting in the popup will also be set as default.

  6. ​Click the “Ok” button in the popup.

That’s all. All done.

If you want to get back to default, then follow the above steps but make sure to choose “White” color.

Android

  1. ​Open Google Docs app and then open the document you wish. Click on “Pencil” icon at the bottom.
  2. ​Tap the Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top and then tap on “Page setup.”
  3. ​Now, hit “Page colour.”
  4. Pick the color you wish.

That’s all. All done.

If you want to go back to default, then follow the above steps (1-3) and select “White” color.

iPhone

  1. Open Google Docs app.
  2. Open the document and then tap the “Pencil” icon at the bottom.
  3. Tap the three horizontal dots at the top.
  4. Hit Page setup > Page colour.
  5. Select the color you prefer.

If you want to go back to default, follow the above steps (1-4) and then select “White” color.
