How to Change Orientation in Google Docs

In this post, we’ll see how to change orientation in Google Docs (PC, Android, and iPhone). Let’s get started.

PC

Steps

  1. Go to Google Docs. Sign in if not already.

  2. Open the document for which you want to change orientation.

  3. Click on File > Page setup.

  4. In the “Page setup” popup, under “Orientation,” select the one you prefer.

  5. Hit “Set as default” button if you want to set the orientation as the default. Keep in mind that not only orientation but every other setting in the popup will also be set as default.

  6. Hit the “Ok” button.

That’s it. The orientation is changed successfully.

Android

Open the Google Docs app.

Open the document and then tap on the “Pencil” icon at the bottom.

Hit the Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top. Now, you can see the “Page setup” option. Tap on it.

Tap “Orientation” and then select the one you prefer.

That’s all. Hit the “Back” button, and you can see the document.

If you want to view the change, tap on the Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top and then tap on “Print layout.”

iPhone

Open Google Docs app.

Open the document and then hit the “Pencil” icon.

Tap the three horizontal dots at the top and then hit “Page setup.”

Now, tap “Orientation” and then choose the one you prefer. In this instance, I chose “Landscape.”

That’s it. Hit the “Back arrow” icon at the top and then tap the “X” at the top. Now, you can see the document.

If you want to view the change, hit the three horizontal dots at the top, and then hit the toggle beside “Print layout.”
