How to Open Command Prompt in Windows 10

In Windows 10, you can open Command Prompt in many ways.

In this post, we will see eight different ways to do this task. Let's get started.

Open Run Command. Type "cmd" (without double quotes) and then press "Enter" key.

Press Windows key + X (or right-click on the Start button) and then select "Windows PowerShell." Type "start cmd" (without double quotes) and then press "Enter."

Open the File Explorer. In File Explorer Address Bar, type "cmd" (without double quotes) and then press "Enter" key.

In the Address Toolbar, type "cmd" (without double quotes) and then press "Enter."

Open Start Menu. Type "cmd" (without double quotes) and you can see "Command Prompt" in the result.

Click on it.

Open Task Manager. Click File > Run new task.

Type "cmd" (without double quotes) and then press "Enter."

Open Start Menu. Find and click "Windows System" folder. Within that folder, you can see "Command Prompt."

Click on it to open "Command Prompt."

Go to C: > Windows > System32 folder. You can go to this folder directly by following this step: type "system32" (without double quotes) in Run Command Box and then press "Enter" key.

Find and double-click "cmd" file.
