How to Install Add-Ons and Themes in Firefox for Android

Not only you can install add-ons and themes in the Firefox web browser, but you can also do the same on Firefox for Android too. Let’s see how.

Install Add-Ons on Firefox for Android

Steps

Open Firefox app.

Hit overflow menu (three vertical dots) > Add-ons (which you can find beneath “Request Desktop Site“) > Browse Firefox’s Recommended Extensions.

Find and tap the add-on you want to install.

If the add-on is not available on your platform, then you’ll see a message at the top like the below (see screenshot) and disabled “Add to Firefox” button. Briefly, you can’t install that add-on.

Else, you’ll see the enabled “Add to Firefox” button. Hit it.

Tap “Add” in the pop-up.

That’s it. All done.

You’ll see the installed add-ons in the “Add-ons.” In there, tap the add-on you prefer, and you can see:

Disable – To deactivate the add-on.

Uninstall – To remove the add-on.

Install Theme on Firefox for Android

Steps

Open Firefox app.

Hit overflow menu (three vertical dots) > Add-ons (which you can find beneath “Request Desktop Site”) > Browse Firefox’s Recommended Extensions.

Tap “Themes.”

Find and tap the theme you want.

Hit the “Install Theme” button.

In the pop-up, tap “Install.”

That’s it. All done.

Remember that you can find installed themes under “Add-ons.” Tap a theme in there, and you can see two options: Disable (which deactivates the theme) and Uninstall (which delete the theme).

Keep in mind that when you deactivate or delete an active theme, the default theme will be applied.
