Not only you can install add-ons and themes in Firefox (PC), but you can also do the same in Firefox for Android.
In this post, we will see the steps to do these tasks. Let’s get started.
Install Add-ons in Firefox for Android
Open Firefox app.
Select “Add-ons,” and then tap “Browse all Firefox Add-ons.”
Find and tap the add-on you want to install. Use the Search Box at the top to find the add-on if you need.
If the add-on is not available on your platform, then you can see this message at the top (see below screenshot). It means that you cannot install that add-on.
If there is no message like the above, then you can proceed with the installation of the add-on. Now, tap “Add to Firefox” button.
Firefox will begin to download the add-on and then show you a popup. Tap “Add” on the popup.
That is all. You will see a notification at the bottom once the installation is complete.
Remember that the add-ons will get updated to compatible versions (if any) when the Firefox app gets updated.
Go to “Add-ons” and tap on the add-on that you have installed.
If there are any settings available for that add-on, then it will be shown there (see below screenshot).
Uninstall Add-ons on Firefox for Android
Go to “Add-ons.”
Find and tap the add-on you want to uninstall.
Tap “Uninstall” option.
Note: tap “Disable” if you want to deactivate the add-on.
Install Themes in Firefox for Android
Go to “Add-ons” and tap “Browse all Firefox Add-ons.”
Tap “Themes” tab.
Find and tap the theme you want.
Tap “Tap to preview” button at the top to preview the theme. If you want, click on “Cancel preview” button to cancel the theme preview.
If you are OK with the theme, tap on “Install Theme” button.
That is all. The theme will get applied to your Firefox app.
Keep in mind that you can see the themes that you have installed under “Add-ons.”
Tap the theme on the “Add-ons,” and you can see two options:
Disable – Deactivate the theme.
Uninstall – Delete the theme.
You can deactivate or delete the theme at any time you want.
Remember when you disable or remove the active theme, then the default theme will be applied.
