You can add a shortcut of a Google Drive file or folder to your Android device’s home screen for quick access and here’s how you can do that:

  1. Open the Google Drive app.

  2. Tap “Files” at the bottom.

  3. Select the item for which you want a shortcut.

  4. Tap on the Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top. Now, tap “Add to Home screen” option.

  5. Now, if you want to place the shortcut to the home screen manually, use the icon you see right now to do so. Otherwise, tap “Add Automatically” option. In this instance, I chose the latter.

That’s all. Go to your Android device’s home screen, and you can see the shortcut now.
