Let’s see the steps to add a page break in Google Docs.

​Sign into Google Docs.
​Open the document you prefer.
Place the cursor where you need a page break.
Click on “Insert” at the top. Hover your mouse over “Break.” Click on the “Page break” option.

Alternate Method

You can do the same task by placing the cursor where you need a page break. And then press CTRL + Enter.

To Remove Page Break: Place the cursor after the page break you wish to delete. Hit the “Backspace” key.

Android or iPhone

Let’s see how to add a page break in Google Docs app.

Open the Google Docs app.
Open the document you prefer.
Hit the “Pencil” icon at the bottom.
Place the cursor on where you want a page break.
Hit the “+” icon at the top.
In the “Insert” section, hit “Page break.”

To Remove Page Break: Place the cursor at the end of the page break you want to delete. Hit the “Backspace” key in your keyboard.

How to Delete a Page in Google Docs

Sign into Google Docs.

Open the document.

To delete a blank page: Place the cursor on the page you want to remove. Hit the “Back space” key.

To remove a page along with its contents: Select the contents of the page. Hit the “Back space” key.

Android or iPhone

Open the Google Docs app.

Open the document. Hit the “Pencil” icon at the bottom.

Tap the three vertical dots (Android) or three horizontal dots (iPhone) at the top. Enable the “Print layout.”

To delete a blank page: Place the cursor on the page you want to remove. Hit the “Back space” in your keyboard.

To delete a page along with its contents: Select the contents of the page. Hit the “Back space” key.

How to Delete a File in Google Docs

PC

​Sign into Google Docs.
​Click on the three vertical dots in the file you want to delete.
​Click on the “Remove” option.

Alternate Method

Open the document you like to remove.

Hit “File” at the top.

Click on “Move to trash” option.

Hit “Go to Docs home screen” button.

That’s all. The file is deleted but not permanently. The deleted file is stored in the Trash of Google Drive.

If you want to restore that file or delete it permanently from Trash, then here are the steps:

​Go to Google Drive.
​Hit the “Trash” on the left side of the screen.
​Find the file you want to restore or delete permanently.
​Right-click on it and you see two options – Restore and Delete forever.
​Hit “Restore” if you want to restore.
To delete permanently: Hit “Delete forever.” You see a confirmation pop-up. Hit “Delete Forever.”

Android or iPhone

​Open the Google Docs app.
​Tap on the three vertical dots (Android) or three horizontal dots (iPhone) in the file you want to delete.
​Scroll through the options until you see “Remove.” Tap it.
Hit “Remove” in the pop-up if you’re on iPhone.

That’s it. The file is deleted but not permanently. Remember, the deleted file is stored in the Google Drive Trash​.

​Tap on the three vertical lines in the Google Docs app.
​Hit “Trash.” Now, you can see the deleted file. Hit on the three vertical (or horizontal) dots in that file.
