How to Insert Horizontal Line in Google Docs

Inserting a horizontal line on a Google Docs document is a simple task and here's how you can do that on PC and Android:

PC

  • angle-right
    ​Sign into Google Docs.
  • angle-right
    ​Open the document and then place the cursor on where you need a horizontal line.
  • angle-right
    ​Now, click on "Insert" at the top and then click "Horizontal line."

That's it. You can see the horizontal line in the document now.

If you wish to remove it, then select the horizontal line by double-clicking it and then press "Delete" key.

Android

  • angle-double-right
    ​Open Google Docs app.
  • angle-double-right
    ​Open the document and then tap on the "Pencil" icon at the bottom.

    ​Place the cursor on where you need a horizontal line.
  • angle-double-right
    ​Tap the "+" icon at the top. Now, under "Insert," you can see "Horizontal line" option. Tap on it.

That's all. Now, you can see the horizontal line on the document.

If you want to remove it, then place the cursor after horizontal line and then hit "Backspace" key on your keyboard.
