In this post, we’ll see how to enable or disable the Home button in Google Chrome (Windows 10 PC and Android). Let’s get started.
By default, the Google Chrome web browser got the “Home” button disabled. However, you can enable it at any time you want, and here’s how:
Click on the three vertical dots at the top > Settings.
Hit “Appearance” in the left sidebar. Find and click the “Show home button.”
After that, you can see two options – “New Tab page” and “Enter custom web address.”
Keep in mind that clicking the “Home” button will take you to the homepage and Chrome has set the “New Tab page” as your homepage by default. If you want to set a particular site as your homepage, then use the “Enter custom web address” option.
That’s all. Now, you can see the “Home” button in the Chrome toolbar.
If you want to return to the default, then click the “Show home button.”
By default, the Chrome for Android got Home button enabled.
If you want to disable it, then follow the below steps:
- Open Chrome app.
- Tap the Overflow menu (three vertical dots) > Settings > Homepage.
- Hit “On.”
That’s all. All done.
Remember that if you want to go back to default, follow the above steps (1 and 2) and then tap “Off.”
