How to Change Swipe Action in Gmail App

Steps

  1. Open the Gmail app.
  2. Tap Hamburger icon (three vertical lines) > Settings > General settings > Swipe actions.
  3. To change the right swipe action, tap “Right swipe.” To change left swipe action, tap “Left swipe.”
  4. Now, you can see a popup with the actions (Archive (default), Delete, Mark as read/unread, Move to, Snooze, none). Select the action you prefer.

iPhone

Open the Gmail app.

Hit Hamburger icon (three vertical lines) > Settings > Swipe actions.

If you want to customize the right swipe, hit “Right swipe.” For left, hit “Left swipe.”

Now, you can see actions (Archive (default), Bin, Mark as read/unread, Snooze, Move to, None). Choose the one you prefer.
