How to Schedule an Email in Gmail

You can schedule an email in Gmail and here’s how:

Sign into your Gmail account.

Hit the “Compose” button and then compose the email as usual.

Beside the “Send” button, you can see the “Inverted triangle.” Hit it, and you can see the “Schedule send” option. Click on it.

Now, in the popup, you can see some predefined timings and the option (Pick date & time) to set custom date and time.

Choose the one you prefer.

That’s it. The email is scheduled and moved to the “Scheduled” label.

The scheduled email will be sent automatically to the recipient at the date and time you’ve specified.

Remember that all the scheduled emails will be in the “Scheduled” label which you can find at the left side menu.

Also, note that you can cancel the scheduled email and here’s how:

Go to “Scheduled.”

Find and select the scheduled email that you want to cancel.

In the top, you can see the “Cancel send” option. Hit it.

That’s all. The scheduled email is canceled and moved to the “Drafts.”

Schedule an Email in Gmail for Android

Open Gmail app.

Hit the “+” at the bottom. Compose the email as usual.

Now, tap the Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top.

Hit “Schedule send.”

In the popup, you can see some predefined date and time options and the option (Pick date & time) to set custom date and time.

Hit the one you prefer, and that’s it.

The email is scheduled and moved to the “Scheduled” label (which you can see when you tap the “Hamburger” icon (three vertical lines) at the top).

If you want to cancel the scheduled email, find it in the “Scheduled” label, hit it and then tap “Cancel send.”

Keep in mind that the canceled one will be moved to “Drafts.”
