By default, when you hover your mouse over a folder in Windows 10, you can see its size information in a tooltip, and that tooltip is called “Folder Tips.”
If you don’t want to see folder size information in folder tips, you can hide it. Let’s see how to do it.
Open File Explorer Options (To do that, press Windows Key + R, type control folders and then press “Enter” key).
Go to the “View” tab.
Find and unselect “Display file size information in folder tips,” which is between “Display file icon on thumbnails” and “Display the full path in the title bar.”
Hit the “OK” button at the bottom.
That’s all. The folder size information will not be shown anymore.
If you want to display folder size information again, then follow the below steps:
Go to “View” tab in File Explorer Options.
Find and select “Display file size information in folder tips.”
Hit the “OK” button.
You cannot see folder size information when hover your mouse over a folder in Quick access and This PC regardless of the folder tips setting.
