4 Different Ways to Find Your Phone Number

Sometimes, you may forget your phone number and it becomes a tedious one to find out.

In this post, we will see some easy methods to find your phone number.

I recommend you to check out all the methods and then choose the method which is convenient for you. Let’s get started.

Find Your Phone Number

1

Go to the following location in your phone:

Settings > About phone > Status > SIM status > Your SIM name > My phone number

Now, you can see your phone number.

The location may vary among devices. If it is not available in the above location, then it should be available somewhere in the phone settings. I suggest you to search for it in the settings.

There is a chance that you can’t see your phone number there and instead you can see the message “Unknown”.

Why?

Because if the phone number data isn’t included on the SIM card, then this option won't display your phone number.

It is a simple method. But, always work.

Ask your friends or family members for your phone number.

Alternatively, you can make a call to your other phone and find your number.

Google will help you to find phone number of yours and here are the steps:

  • Go to this URL.
  • Under “Sign-in & security”, find Account recovery options.
  • In the “Recovery phone”, you can see your phone number.
  • Recovery phone option showing phone number

If you didn’t add the recovery phone number to your account, then this method won’t work for you.

Alternatively, you can look in the accounts where you provided the phone number (for instance: shopping sites account such as Amazon).

There is a catch in all the above methods. They work only when you already used the phone number.

Recently, when I arranged my things, I got my old SIM. I’ve not used the SIM mostly and I’ve not given that number to anyone.

Unfortunately, that SIM don’t have any balance. If I have the balance, then I can make a call to other numbers and find out my phone number. Unfortunately, that is not possible now.

The all above methods won’t be helpful since I don’t use the SIM. In this case, I've found my phone number by using this method.

You can use USSD code provided by the network operators to find your own phone number and here is the list of the popular networks.

Please do a Google search if your carrier is not in the above list.

Most of the phone models have an option to store your phone number in contacts. After you find out your phone number, just save your number in that option which will come in handy.
