How to Disable Chat Heads in Facebook Messenger

By default, chat heads is enabled on Facebook Messenger for Android.

If you don’t like chat heads, then you can disable it. Here’s how:

​Open Facebook Messenger.

Hit your profile picture at the top.

Disable “Chat Heads.”

Note: You can enable chat heads by following the above steps. But enable instead of disabling.

How to Enable Dark Mode in Facebook Messenger

Android

Open Facebook Messenger.

Hit the profile picture at the top.

You see “Dark Mode.” Enable it.

Note: If you want to disable dark mode, follow the above steps. But disable instead of enabling.

iPhone

Open Facebook Messenger.

Hit the profile picture at the top.

You see “Dark Mode.” Hit it.

You see these three options:

  • On (enable dark mode)
  • Off (disable dark mode)
  • System (if the device is in the dark mode, then the app also in the dark mode. If the device isn’t in the dark mode, then the app also isn’t the dark mode).

How to Log Out of Facebook Messenger

Method #1

Using this method, you can log out of Facebook Messenger remotely too.

With that said, let’s see the steps.

Open Facebook for Android or iPhone.

Hit three vertical lines > Settings & Privacy > Settings > Security and Login.

Tap “See all” besides “Where you’re logged in.”

To Log Out of Facebook Messenger in Single Device

Look for an entry that contains Messenger and the device you want.

Once you find it, tap three vertical dots in that entry.

Tap the “Log Out” button.

To Log Out of Facebook Messenger in All Devices

Remember, this will log you out of everywhere except the Facebook app in which you’re currently logged in.

Scroll down to the bottom.

You see the “Log Out of All Sessions” button. Hit it.

Hit the “Log Out” button.

PC

You can do the same task on PC, and here’s how:

Go to this URL (make sure you’re signed into Facebook before clicking the URL).

Hit “See more” in the “Where you’re logged in” section.

To Log Out of Facebook Messenger in Single Device

Look for an entry that contains Messenger and the device you want.

Once you find it, tap three vertical dots in that entry. Hit the “Log Out” option.

To Log Out of Facebook Messenger in All Devices

Remember, this will log you out of everywhere, except the Facebook desktop version in which you’re currently logged in.
