2 Different Ways to Fix Google Play Store Error 905

In our previous posts, I've talked about the different ways to fix error 194 and error 927.

Like most of the Play Store errors, error 905 too appears while downloading or updating apps from Play Store.

In this post, we will see two different ways to fix this error. Without further ado, let's check out the steps to fix this error.

Fix Google Play Store Error 905

Method #1

  • Go to the Settings app.
  • Navigate to Display > Sleep.
  • Select "Never" (In case, if your device doesn't have "Never" option, then set the longest duration available).

Now, try to download an app from the Google Play Store. If the error is still there, then try the following method.

Method #2

  • Navigate to Settings > Apps.
  • Find and tap "Google Play Store."
  • Tap Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top and then tap "Uninstall updates" option.
  • Tap "OK" on the confirmation popup.
  • That's it. All done.

Now, try to download an app from the Play Store, and it should get downloaded.
