How to Enable or Disable Cookies in Firefox

By default, cookies are enabled in Firefox.

If you want to disable it, then here are the steps to do that on PC and Android:

PC

  • angle-right
    ​Open Firefox.
  • angle-right
    ​Copy the following and paste it in the Address Bar of Firefox: about:preferences#privacy
  • angle-right
    ​Hit "Enter" key and you can see the "Privacy & Security" screen.

    ​Under "Cookies and Site Data," select the "Block cookies and site data (may cause websites to break)" option.

​That's it. The cookies are disabled successfully.

Note: If you want to enable cookies, then use the above steps (1-3) and then select the option "Accept cookies and site data from websites (recommended)" which you can find under "Cookies and Site Data."

Android

  • angle-double-right
    ​Open Firefox app.
  • angle-double-right
    ​Hit the Overflow Menu (three vertical dots) at the top > Settings > Privacy.
  • angle-double-right
    ​Tap "Cookies."
  • angle-double-right
    ​In the popup, select "Disabled."

​That's all. The cookies are disabled successfully.
