Notes:
- The download history shows the downloads you have made.
- The downloads you made in InPrivate browsing mode, Private browsing mode, and Incognito mode will not be displayed in normal browsing mode, as is the case with Edge, Firefox and Chrome (PC and Android).
- Remember that removing the entry from the download history of Edge, Firefox, Chrome (PC and Android) does not remove the downloaded file.
- All your downloads are automatically saved in the default download directory.
- For Chrome, Edge and Firefox browsers, the default download location is the “Downloads” folder in C: > Users > Username.
- In Chrome for Android, the “Download” folder in the internal storage is the default location for downloads.
Here, I use Windows 10 PC and Android phone. Let’s get started.
How to View Downloads on Edge
PC
You can see the Edge download history in three different ways. Here they are:
Method #1
Open Edge browser. Press CTRL + J.
Method #2
Open Edge.
Type edge://downloads/all into the address bar. Press the “Enter” key.
Method #3
Launch Edge.
Hit the three horizontal dots at the top right.
Click on “Downloads.”
Android
Open the Edge app.
Tap the three horizontal dots.
Tap “Downloads.”

How to Clear Download History on Edge
PC
Access Edge download history (Press CTRL + J).
To remove a single entry:
Press the “X” icon in the entry you want to remove.
To remove all entries at once:
Click “Clear all” at the top.
Click the “Remove all” button in the pop-up.
Android
Go to Edge download history.
Press the three vertical dots in the entry you want to remove.
Press “Remove.”
To remove all entries at once:
Click on the “Trash can” icon at the top.
Click “Clear” on the pop-up.

How to Change Default Download Location on Edge
PC
Open the Edge browser.
Press the three horizontal dots in the upper right corner of the screen.
Click on “Settings.”
Click “Downloads” in the left sidebar.
In the “Downloads” section you will see the “Change” button. Click it.
Select the desired folder in the pop-up and then click the “Select Folder” button.
How to View Downloads on Google Chrome
PC
You can see Chrome’s download history in three different ways. Here they are:
Method #1
Open the Chrome browser. Press CTRL + J.
Method #2
Open the Google Chrome browser.
Press the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
Click “Downloads” between “History” and “Bookmarks.”
Method #3
In the address bar, type chrome://downloads and hit the “Enter” key.
Android
Open the Chrome app.
Hit the three vertical dots at the top.
Click “Downloads,” which lies between “History” and “Desktop site.” You can see your Chrome app download history.
How to Clear Download History on Chrome
PC
Access the Chrome download history (Press CTRL + J).
To remove an entry, click “X” in this entry.
To delete the entire download history, click on the three vertical dots at the top right of the screen and press the “Clear all” option.
Android
Open Chrome for Android.
Tap the three vertical dots > Downloads.
To remove a single entry, click on the three vertical dots next to the entry you want to delete. Hit the “Delete” option.
If you want to delete several entries at once, long-press the ones you want to delete. Click on the “Trash can” icon at the top.
Unfortunately, there is no way to delete the entire download history.

How to Change Default Download Location on Chrome
PC
Open the Chrome browser.
Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
Click on “Settings.”
Click “Advanced” in the left sidebar.
Click on “Downloads.”
Click the “Change” button next to “Location.”
In the pop-up, select the folder where you want to save your Chrome downloads.
Click the “Select Folder” button in the pop-up.

Android
Open the Chrome app.
Hit the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
Click on “Settings.”
Tap “Downloads” at the top of “About Chrome.”
Tap “Download location.”
Now, you can see two options: “Downloads” and “SD Card.”
Choose the one you prefer.
Tap “Done.”

How to View Downloads on Firefox
PC
You can see Firefox download history in two unique ways. Here they are:
Method #1
Open the Firefox browser. Press CTRL + J.
Method #2
Click the “Library” icon next to the address bar and click “Downloads.”
Or press the three vertical lines > Library > Downloads.
You can see the recent downloads.
If you want to see more downloads, click on the “Show All Downloads” option.

How to Clear Download History on Firefox

To remove a single entry, right-click on the entry you want to delete. Hit the “Remove from History” option.
To delete the entire download history, click on the “Clear Downloads” option at the top.

How to Change Default Download Location on Firefox
PC
Open the Firefox browser.
Click on the three horizontal lines at the top.
Click on “Options.”
In the “Downloads” section, you will see the default folder together with the “Browse” button. Click this button.
In the “Choose Download Folder:” pop-up, choose the folder you want, and click the “Select Folder” button.
