Additional Hint

The downloads you've made while you're in private browsing mode will not be displayed in the normal browsing mode's download history. It is applied to both Chrome and Firefox (web and Android browsers).

Typically, the download history shows the downloads that are made after the download history is cleared.

In Chrome web browser, if the downloaded file is removed, renamed or moved to another location, you'll see "Deleted" in that entry in download history.

In Chrome for Android, the entry will be removed if the downloaded file is deleted, renamed or moved to another location.

In Firefox web browser, if the downloaded file is deleted, renamed or moved to another location, you'll see "File moved or missing" in that entry (See screenshots of Firefox web browser section).

In Firefox app, if the downloaded file is deleted, renamed or moved to another location, you'll see "Unknown size" in that entry in download history.

Keep in mind that removing entries from download history of Chrome and Firefox (both PC and Android) will not remove downloaded files.
