Here, we’ll see how to delete a WhatsApp conversation on Android and iPhone.
Remember that the below steps are for the chat of contacts. With that said, let’s get started.
Delete single or multiple WhatsApp chats
Open WhatsApp for Android.
Long press the chat(s) that you want to remove.
In the pop-up, select Delete media in these chats if you want to remove media of the conversation from your device. Otherwise, unselect it.
Tap Delete option in the pop-up.
Delete all WhatsApp chats at once
The below steps will remove all WhatsApp contacts chat and clear all group chats at once. Remember that these steps can also delete media of all chats from your device.
Hit three vertical dots at the top.
Tap Settings, which you can find beneath Starred messages.
Hit Chats, which you can find between Account and Notifications.
Tap Chat history, which you can find beneath Chat backup.
Hit Delete all chats which you can find beneath Clear all chats option.
In the pop-up, select Delete media in chats option if you want to remove media of all conversations from your device. Otherwise, unselect it.
Hit Delete option in the pop-up.
Remove single or multiple WhatsApp conversations
Hit Chats at the bottom if you’re not in it already.
Tap the Edit option at the top left.
Hit the one(s) you like to remove and then tap Delete at the right bottom.
In the pop-up at the bottom, you can see Delete X (it is the number of chats you’ve selected) Chat(s) option along with the Archive and Cancel option.
Hit the Delete X Chat(s) option.
Delete all conversations at once
If you want to remove all WhatsApp contacts chat and clear all group chats at once, then follow the below steps.
Launch WhatsApp for iPhone.
Hit Settings at the bottom if you’re not in it already.
Tap Chats option, which you can find between Account and Notifications.
Hit Delete All Chats option, which you can find beneath the Clear All Chats option.
Provide the number you’ve used to create your WhatsApp account and then hit Delete All Chats option.
