Google Keep: How to Delete and Restore Notes

​In this post, we will see the steps to delete and restore Google Keep notes. Let's get started.

Delete a Note on Google Keep

PC

    ​Go to Google Keep.

    Hover the mouse over the note you want to remove.

    Now, you can see More (three vertical dots). Click on it.

    Click "Delete note."

    ​Open the Google Keep app.

    ​Long press the note you want to remove.
  • angle-double-right
    Tap More options (three vertical dots) at the top and then tap "Delete."

Delete Multiple Notes on Google Keep

PC

    ​Hover the mouse over a note you want to delete.

    You can see Select note (tick icon) at the top of the note. Click on it.

    Now, click on the remaining notes you want to delete.

    Click on the More (three vertical dots) at the top right corner of the screen.

    ​Long press a note you want to remove. Now, tap the remaining notes you want to delete.

Restore a Note from Trash

Keep in mind that after you delete a note, you have only seven days to restore it from Trash.

PC

    ​Go to Trash.
  • angle-right
    Hover over the note you want to restore.
  • angle-right
    Click on More (three vertical dots) and then click "Restore."

    ​Long press the note you want to restore.

    Tap "Restore" icon at the top.

Restore Multiple Notes from Trash

Keep in mind that after you delete notes, you have only seven days to restore them from Trash.

PC

    ​In the Trash, select the notes you want to restore.

    Click on More (three vertical dots) at the top and then click "Restore."

    ​In the Trash, select the notes you want to restore.

Empty Google Keep Trash

The note that has been in the Trash for more than seven days will get deleted automatically. If you wish, you can empty Trash at any time you prefer and here are the steps:

    ​Click on "Trash" from the left side of the screen.

    Click "Empty Trash" at the top.

    ​Click "Empty Trash" in the confirmation popup.

    ​Tap Hamburger icon (three vertical lines) > Trash.

    Tap More options (three vertical dots) > Empty Trash.
