How to Delete Learned Words on Android

In this post, you’ll see the steps to delete an individual learned word and all learned words from the Gboard keyboard.

In this instance, I’m using Android 10. Let’s get started.

How to Delete Learned Words on Android

To Clear Individual Learned Word

Open WhatsApp or any other app you prefer.

Tap the “Search” icon at the top.

Begin typing the learned word that you want to remove.

Once you see it in the suggestions, long-press it.

Now you can see the “Trash can” icon. Just drag that learned word and drop it in the “Trash can” icon.

How to Delete All Learned Words

Open the Settings app.

Tap “System.”

Hit “Languages & input.”

Tap “Virtual keyboard.”

Tap “Gboard.”

Hit “Advanced.”

Hit “Delete learned words and data.” Remember that if you proceed with this option, then not only learned words, but also the other on-device data that Gboard has saved gets removed.

In the pop-up, enter the number that is shown to you. Hit “OK.”
