How to Delete a View, Property and Account in Google Analytics

In this post, we’ll see:

Note: The view, property, and account you delete will be moved to the “Trash Can” (Click “Admin” and you can see it under “Account”), and it’ll remain there for 35 days. After 35 days, it’ll get removed automatically.

Delete a View in Google Analytics

Sign into your Google Analytics account.

Hit on “Admin” at the left bottom.

Now, under “Account,” you can see a drop-down list. Open it and choose the account which has the view you want to delete.

Under “Property,” you can see a drop-down list. Open it and select the property that has the view you want to remove.

Hit “View Settings” option. If you can’t click it, it means that the view is already deleted and is in the “Trash Can.”

Click on “Move to trash can” button.

Delete a Property in Google Analytics

Sign into your Google Analytics account.

At the left bottom of the screen, you can see “Admin.” Hit it.

Now, under “Account,” you can see a drop-down list. Open it and choose the account which has the property you want to delete.

Click on “Property Settings.” If you can’t click “Property Settings,” then it means that the property is already deleted and is in the “Trash Can.”

Hit “Move to Trash Can” button.

Click on “Delete Property” button.

Delete an Account in Google Analytics

Sign into your Analytics account.

Hit the “Admin” at the left bottom.

Under “Account,” you can see a drop-down list. Open it and choose the account you want to remove.

Now, click on the “Account Settings” option. If you can’t click it, then it means that the account is already removed and it is in the “Trash Can.”

You can see the “Move to Trash Can” button. Hit it.

Restore Deleted View, Property and Account in Google Analytics

Here’s how you can restore:

Sign into your Analytics account.

Click “Admin.”

Under “Account,” choose the one that is or has the one you want to restore.

Hit “Trash Can.”

Now, you can see the deleted one that you want to restore. Select it.

Hit the “Restore” button.
