How to Delete Facebook Search History Permanently 2021

Here you’ll see the steps to view and clear your Facebook search history.

In this instance, I’m using Windows 10 PC, Android, and iPhone. Let’s get started.

How to Delete Facebook Search History on PC

Here’s how to view and delete your search history on the Facebook desktop version:

Sign in to your Facebook account.

Hit your name at the top.

Click on the three horizontal dots button beneath the cover photo and then hit Activity log.

From the left sidebar, click “Logged Actions and Other Activity.”

Click on Search history, which is located above the Videos you’ve watched.

You can now see the visits and searches.

To remove an individual search or visit:

Click on the three horizontal dots beside the one you want to remove. Then click Delete. Click Delete in the confirmation popup.

To remove all searches and visits at once, click Clear Searches at the top right.

Here is an alternative method:

At the top left of Facebook, click the search bar.

You can now see a few searches and visits.

You can remove any of them by clicking the X icon next to them.

Hit Edit to see all searches and visits.

To remove an individual search or visit:

Click on the three horizontal dots beside the one you want to remove. Then click Delete. Click Delete in the confirmation popup.

To remove all searches and visits at once, click Clear Searches at the top right.

How to Clear Search History on Facebook (Android or iPhone)

Here’s how to view and clear your search history on Facebook for Android or iPhone:

Open the Facebook app.

Tap on the Menu (three horizontal lines) at the top if you’re on Android or bottom if you’re on iPhone.

Hit Settings & Privacy > Settings > Activity Log.

Tap Logged Actions and Other Activity > Search history.

You can see your searches and visits now.

Hit the three horizontal dots beside the one you want to remove. Tap “Delete.” In the confirmation pop-up, hit “Delete.”

Hit “Clear Searches” at the top to remove all the searches and visits at once.

Here is an alternative method:

Open the Facebook app.

Then hit the Search icon in the top right.

The “Recent searches” section shows a few of your recent searches and visits.

You can remove an individual search or visit by hitting the X icon next to it.

To see all your visits and searches, tap See all.

Visits and searches are displayed by default. Select Searches at the top if you only want to see searches.

To see only visits, hit Visits at the top. The Visits section displays visits to a profile, page, or group through search.

You can remove an individual search or visit by hitting the X icon next to it.

To completely erase your search history, select Clear All. Hit Clear All in the popup. Keep in mind that this is permanent.

Yes. Remember Facebook saves every search of yours and every visit you make to a profile, page or group via search and the history of those is called search history.

You can’t. Search deletion is permanent.
