How to Delete Search History on Facebook

By default, all your Facebook search is saved to your account. If you want to delete it for some reason, then you can do it within two minutes.

In this post, we will see the steps to do this task on both web and app. Let’s get started.

Delete Facebook Search History

PC

Go to your Facebook profile.

Hit “View Activity Log”.

Find and click “More” in the Menu (You can find this option on the left side of the screen).

Click on “Search” option. Now, you can see all your Facebook searches which are sorted by Date (Alternatively, you can come directly to here by clicking on FB search box and then click on “Edit” beside “Recent Searches”).

If you want to delete an individual search, then just click on “Block” icon beside the search that you want to delete. In the popup, choose “Delete.” Choose “Remove search” in the confirmation popup.

Click on “Clear Searches” option at the top to clear all the searches. In the confirmation popup, click on “Clear Searches” button.

Facebook App for Android

Go to your Facebook profile.

Tap “Activity Log”.

Tap “Filter”.

Find and tap “Search” option. Now, you can see all your Facebook searches sorted by Date (Alternatively, you can directly come here by tapping the search box and then hit “Edit” beside “Recent Searches”).

For clearing individual search, tap the “Remove” icon beside the search. In the confirmation prompt, choose “Remove” button.

To delete all the searches at once, just hit the “Clear Searches” at the top underneath “Filter.” On the confirmation screen, just tap “Confirm” button.

Final Thoughts

Unfortunately, there is no option available right now to stop Facebook from saving searches. So, if you do not want the FB to hold this data, then deleting FB search history on a regular interval is the way to go.
