How to Delete a Single Contact

Open the Contacts app.

Long press the one you wish to delete.

Hit the “Trash Can” icon at the top. In the pop-up, tap “Delete.”

How to Delete Multiple Contacts

Open the Google Contacts website in your Android browser. Provide the credentials of your Google account.

You can see the contacts on your Android device. Hit the photo beside the contact you like to remove.

Tap the three vertical dots at the top. Hit the “Delete” option. In the confirmation pop-up, hit “Delete.”

Alternate Method

Launch the Contacts app.

Select the contacts you would like to remove.

You will see a “Trash Can” icon at the top right. Hit it. In the pop-up, hit the “Delete” option.

Delete All Contacts at Once

Open the Contacts app.

Hit the three vertical dots at the top > Select all.

Tap the “Trash Can” icon at the top. In the pop-up, tap “Delete.”

How to Remove Duplicate Contacts from Google Contacts

Note: I’m using a Windows 10 PC.

You can complete this task by removing or merging duplicate contacts. Let’s see both.

Remove Duplicate Contacts

Go to Google Contacts.

Find and select duplicate contacts. Hit the three vertical dots at the top.

Click on the “Delete” option. Hit “Delete” in the confirmation pop-up.

How to Merge Duplicate Google Contacts

Go to Google Contacts.

Click on “Merge & fix” from the left sidebar. You can see the duplicate contacts now.

If you want to merge selectively, then use the “Merge” option in each contact.

If you want to merge all duplicates, click on the “Merge all” button at the top right.

How to Set a Contact as a Favorite on Android

Open the Phone app.

Hit “Favorites” at the bottom.

Tap the “Add a favorite” option. If you have a contact set as a favorite, then you’ll see the “Add” option instead of “Add a favorite.”

Choose the contact you prefer.

That’s all. You can see that contact in the “Favorites” section. You will also see the same in the “Favorites” section of the “Contacts” app,

Alternate Method

Launch the Phone app.

Hit on “Contacts” at the bottom.

Tap the contact you like. Hit the “Star” icon at the top right.

How to Reorder a Contact in Favorites

Go to Favorites.

Long press the one you like in the “Favorites” section.

Drag and drop it in the position you want.

How to Remove Contacts from Favorites

Open the Phone app.

Hit on “Favorites” at the bottom.

In the “Favorites” section, you will see the contacts you have set as a favorite.

Long press the one you would like to remove. Hit the “Remove” option.

Alternate Way

Launch the Phone app.

Hit on “Contacts” at the bottom.

Hit the contact that has been set as a favorite.

Tap the “Star” icon at the top right.
