How to Create, View, Edit, and Delete Bookmarks in Chrome

In this post, you’ll see the steps to create, view, edit, and delete bookmarks. In this instance, I’m using Windows 10 PC and Android.

How to Create a Bookmark in Chrome

Open Chrome.

Go to the web page you want to bookmark.

Click on the “Star” icon in the address bar.

That’s all.

In the pop-up, you can name the bookmark, change its folder, or delete the bookmark. Hit the “Done” button once you are OK with the bookmark.

Note: Alternatively, you can use the Chrome shortcut to do this task. The shortcut for doing this task is CTRL + D.

How to Bookmark All Tabs of the Chrome Window at Once

Press CTRL + Shift + D and enter the name of the folder where the bookmarks will be saved, then press the “Save” button.

View, Edit, and Delete Bookmarks in Chrome

Press CTRL + Shift + O, and you will see the “Bookmark manager.” Here you can see all bookmarks of the Chrome browser.

Click on the three vertical dots next to an individual bookmark, and you will see these options

  • Edit (to edit the bookmark)
  • Delete (to delete the bookmark)
  • Cut
  • Copy
  • Copy URL
  • Paste
  • Open in new tab
  • Open in new window
  • Open in incognito window

If you want to delete multiple bookmarks at once, press CTRL and select the bookmarks you want to remove, then click “Delete” at the top.

If you want to delete all bookmarks of a folder at once, go to that folder, press CTRL + A, and then click “Delete” at the top.

Android

To Create a Bookmark

Go to the web page you want to bookmark in the Chrome app.

Tap the three vertical dots at the top right.

Now press the “Star” icon.

That’s all.

View, Edit, and Delete Bookmarks

Tap the three vertical dots at the top right > Bookmarks.

Now you can see all the bookmarks in the Chrome app.

Tap the three vertical dots next to the bookmark, and you will see the following options:

Select – Select the bookmark. After selecting a bookmark, you can see many options.

Edit – To edit the bookmark.

Move to – Move the bookmark to another folder.

Delete – Deletes the bookmark.

Remember that the Chrome app allows you to delete multiple bookmarks at once, and here’s how:

Press the bookmark you want to delete for a long time. Now, press the remaining bookmark you want to remove.

Click on the “Trash can” icon at the top.

How to Create a Bookmark in Firefox

Open Firefox.

Open the web page you want to bookmark.

Click the “Star” icon next to the “Save to Pocket” icon in the address bar.

That’s all.

In the pop-up, you will see the option to change the name of the bookmark, change the folder where the bookmark is stored, add tags, and delete the bookmark. If you are OK with the bookmark, click “Done.”

Alternatively, you can also create the bookmark by pressing CTRL + D.

How to Bookmark All Tabs of the Firefox Window at Once

Right-click on the tab and press the “Select All Tabs” option.

Click on the “Bookmark Tabs” option.

Enter the folder name in the pop-up and select the folder according to your wishes.

Click the “Add Bookmarks” button.

Alternatively, press Ctrl + Shift + D to do the same task.

View, Edit, and Delete Bookmarks in Firefox

Press CTRL + Shift + O to see all the bookmarks in the Firefox browser.

Now click on a bookmark to edit.

To Delete:

Right-click on an individual bookmark, and you will see several options. Click Delete option.

Press CTRL and press the bookmarks you want to remove. Right-click on them and click “Delete” to delete multiple bookmarks at once.

Press CTRL + A to select all bookmarks, right-click on them and then click the Delete option to delete all bookmarks from the folder at once.

Create a Bookmark

Open the web page you want to bookmark in the Firefox app.

Tap the three vertical dots below and then press the “Star” icon.

That’s it.

View, Edit, and Delete Bookmarks

Open the Firefox app.

Tap the three vertical dots at the bottom.

Click on “Bookmarks.”

Now you can see all your bookmarks.

Click on the three vertical dots next to a bookmark, and you will see these options:

  • Edit – To edit a bookmark.
  • Copy
  • Share
  • Open in new tab
  • Open in private tab
  • Delete – To delete the bookmark.

The Firefox app has a feature to delete multiple bookmarks at once. Let’s see that.

Press the bookmark for a long time. Tap the remaining ones you want to delete. Press the three vertical dots at the top right. Press “Delete.”

How to Hide or Show Bookmarks Bar in Chrome

Please note that all methods below, except the second one, can show or hide the bookmarks bar; the second way only shows the steps to hide.

Method #1

Simultaneously press CTRL + Shift + B.

Method #2

Right-click on the bookmarks bar and then click “Show bookmarks bar.”

Method #3

Hit the three vertical dots at the top.

Move the mouse over “Bookmarks,” which you will find under “Downloads.”

Click on the “Show bookmarks bar.”

Method #4

Hit the three vertical dots at the top.

Click on “Settings.”

Click on the “Appearance” above the “Search engine” in the left sidebar.

Under the Show home button you will see the “Show bookmarks bar.” Hit it.

How to Hide or Show Bookmarks Toolbar in Firefox

Click on the three vertical lines at the top of the Firefox browser.

Click on “Library.”

Click on “Bookmarks.”

Click on “Bookmarking Tools.”

Click on “View Bookmarks Toolbar” or “Hide Bookmarks Toolbar.”
