Enable Clipboard History in Windows 10
By default, clipboard history is disabled in Windows 10. If you wish, you can enable it and here’s how:
Hit System > Clipboard.
Under “Clipboard history,” you can see a toggle. Hit it.
That’s it. All done.
To disable clipboard history, follow the above steps.
Alternatively, you can enable using the following steps:
Press Windows key + V, and it’ll show you a popup. Hit the “Turn on” button in that popup.

You can see the history of the clipboard by pressing Windows key + V.
It’s important to note that these:
You can copy an item in the clipboard history by hitting it.
The size limit of the image in clipboard history is 4 MB.
Sync Clipboard across Windows 10 Computers
You can sync clipboard across Windows 10 computers that are using same Microsoft account and here’s how you can do this:
Go to Settings. Hit System > Clipboard.
Now you can see the sync options (which you can see in the next screenshot beneath the one) or “Sign in” link or “Get started” button under “Sync across devices.” In this instance, I see the button.
Hit it, and you can see a popup with the different methods to verify. Pick the one you want.
After you verified successfully, you can see the sync options:
Hit the toggle under “Sync across devices.” By default, automatic syncing is enabled. If you don’t want that, you can disable it by choosing the “Never automatically sync text that I copy” option.
That’s it. All done.
To disable sync, hit the toggle under “Sync across devices.”
Pin Clipboard items in Windows 10
When you pin an item in the clipboard history, it’ll remain until unpinned or deleted.
To pin an item, hover the mouse over it and then hit the “Pin” icon.
Alternatively, select the item and then press the “P” key.
Here’s how you can unpin an item: Hover the mouse over the pinned one and then hit the “Pin” icon.
Alternatively, select the pinned item and then press the “U” key.
Clear Clipboard History in Windows 10
To Remove Individual Item from Clipboard History
Click on the “X” icon in the item that you want to remove.
To Remove Entire Clipboard History (Except the Pinned Items)
Go to Settings. Hit System > Clipboard. Hit the “Clear” button. That’s it.
Alternatively, you can press Windows key + V and then hit “Clear all” at the top.
To Remove Complete Clipboard History (Including the Pinned Items)
Go to Settings. Click System > Clipboard. Hit the toggle under “Clipboard history.” Now, click on the same toggle again.
