By default, WhatsApp has “Default” chat wallpaper. However, if you wish, you can change WhatsApp chat wallpaper at any time you want.
Keep in mind that chat wallpaper change applies to all contacts and groups.
It is a simple task. Let’s see how to do it on an Android phone.
Change WhatsApp Chat Wallpaper on Android
Tap Overflow Menu (three vertical dots) > Settings > Chats > Wallpaper (beneath “App Language“).
Now, you can see these five Wallpaper options:
Gallery – Hit this option, and you will be shown Gallery. Find and tap the image you want. Now, you can see the preview and if you are “OK” with it, hit “Set.”
Solid Color – Hit this option, and you will be shown different colors. Tap the color you want to set as wallpaper. Now, you can see the preview and if you like it, tap “Set.”
Wallpaper Library – Tapping this option will show a popup which prompts you to download WhatsApp Wallpaper package. Tap “OK,” and it will take you to “WhatsApp Wallpaper” on Google Play Store. Install it.
Now, tap the “Wallpaper Library” option again, and you will be shown many wallpapers. Find and tap the one you prefer. You can see the preview now and if you are “OK” with it, tap “Set.”
Default – Hit this option if you want to revert.
No Wallpaper – Self-explanatory, right?
Remember that the wallpaper change only applies to you.
