How to Change YouTube Profile Picture

By default, the profile picture you’ve set for your Google account is your YouTube account’s profile picture and channel icon.

If you wish, you can change it and here’s how you can do it on YouTube web version:

Change YouTube Profile Picture on PC

  • angle-double-right
    Sign into your YouTube account.
  • angle-double-right
    Hit profile picture > My channel > channel icon (above “Home”).
  • angle-double-right
    In the popup, hit “Edit.”

  • Save

    Now, choose the image you wish or hit the “Upload photo” option to upload one you prefer. In this instance, I chose the former.

  • Save
  • angle-double-right
    In the popup, rotate the image if you wish. Use the handles to choose the portion of the photo you prefer.
  • angle-double-right
    Once you're done with it, hit “Done.”

  • Save

That’s it. You can see the change in the YouTube profile picture and channel icon now.

How to Remove Profile Picture on YouTube Web Version

  • angle-right
    Sign into your YouTube account.
  • angle-right
    Hit profile picture > My channel > channel icon (above “Home”).
  • angle-right
    In the popup, hit “Edit.”
  • angle-right
    Click on “No photo.”
No photo button
  • Save

That’s it. You can see the default profile picture and channel icon now.

Note: You can’t do the above tasks on YouTube for Android and YouTube Studio for Android.
