How to Take a Backup of Your Twitter Account

In this post, you will see the steps to back up your Twitter account. In this case, I’m using Windows 10 PC, iPhone, and Android. Let’s get started.

How to Back Up Your Twitter Account

PC

Log in to your Twitter account.

Click “More” in the left sidebar.

Click on “Settings and privacy.”

Click on “Download an archive of your data.”

Enter your Twitter account password and click “Confirm” button.

Click on “Request archive” button.

That’s it. Twitter will notify you by email as soon as your backup is ready.

In the e-mail you can see how long you can download the backup and the download link. Hit the latter after you sign in to your Twitter account.

That’s all.

Android or iPhone

Open the Twitter app.

Tap the three vertical lines (if you’re on Android) or profile picture (if you’re on iPhone) at the top.

Click on “Settings and privacy.”

Tap Account > Your Twitter data.

If you are on Android, enter your account password, and then click the “Confirm” button.

If you are on the iPhone, log in with your Twitter account credentials. Enter your password, and then click the “Confirm” button.

Tap “Request archive” button.

That’s it. Twitter will notify you by email as soon as your backup is ready.

The email shows how long you can download the backup and the download link. Click on the latter after logging into your Twitter account in a desktop browser.
