Steps to Disable Automatic Updates

  • Open Run Command. In it, type msconfig and then press the Enter key.
  • Now, navigate to the Services tab.
  • Find and uncheck Google Update Service (gupdate) and Google Update Service (gupdatem) options.
  • Hit the Ok button.
  • In the pop-up, hit the Restart button.
