By default, the auto arrange icons feature is disabled for Windows 10 desktop.
You can manually arrange icons if you disable this feature. If you enable this feature, then Windows 10 will arrange icons in columns automatically.
Enable or Disable Auto Arrange Icons for Windows 10 Desktop
Right-click on the desktop’s blank area.
In the context menu, hover your mouse over “View” option.
Now, you can see the following options:
- Large icons
- Medium icons
- Small icons
- Auto arrange icons
- Align icons to grid
- Show desktop icons
Hit the “Auto arrange icons” option. Remember, the checkmark beside this option means it is on. Otherwise, it is off.
