Blogger templates have Attribution widget which generally appears at the bottom of the blog.
Attribution widget displays template name followed by Powered by Blogger statement.
By default, it is a locked widget. By making little changes, you can hide/remove Attribution widget in Blogger.
It is important to note that the following method won’t work for dynamic templates. I recommend you to take a backup of Blogger template before making any changes. Let’s get started.
Steps to Hide Attribution Widget in Blogger
- Select the Blog.
- Go to Customise > Advanced > Add CSS.
- Add the following CSS code
- Click on “Apply to blog” button.
That’s it. It won’t be visible anymore in the web version template.
But, it is still get displayed in the mobile template. If you want to hide it in the mobile template, follow the steps below
Steps to Hide Attribution Widget in Mobile Template
If you are using a custom mobile template, it won’t be visible on your blog. If you are using other mobile templates, it still appears in your blog.
- Go to Template > Edit HTML
- Click on “Jump to widget” option.
- Select “Attribution1”.
- Now, you can see this code.

- Replace the above code with this code.
<b:widget id=’Attribution1′ locked=’true’ mobile=’no’ title=” type=’Attribution’>
- Click on “Save template”.
That’s it, it will not appear on the mobile devices anymore.
