How to Archive Text Messages on Android (and More)

In this post, we’ll see:

Archive Text Messages on Android

Open Messages app.

Select the conversations you want to archive (Here’s how you can select: Long press a conversation and then tap the remaining ones).

Hit the “Archive” icon at the top.

That’s it. The selected conversations are archived.

And, here’s an important thing to note: The archived conversation will be automatically unarchived if it receives a message or you send a message from it.

To view archived conversations: Hit the Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top and then tap “Archived.” Now, you can see the conversations you’ve archived.

To unarchive: Select the archived conversations. Hit the “Unarchive” icon at the top.

Additional Hint:

If you want to mark all conversations as read, then hit the Overflow menu at the top and then tap “Mark all as read” option.

Enable Dark Mode in Messages App

Hit the Overflow menu (three vertical dots) at the top.

Tap “Enable dark mode” option.

That’s it. All done.

If you want to disable dark mode, hit the Overflow menu and then tap “Disable dark mode.”
